Consumer Guarantees.
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you have guaranteed legal rights for goods and services you purchase. All goods sold in Australia come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Why have I been automatically billed for a renewal.
You have been charged because you have an active service in the billing system and because you haven't cancelled your automated billing, therefore the amount you been charged is correct and authorised as per our terms and conditions.
How do I cancel my services or subscriptions?
All DomainNames.com.au services or subscriptions must be cancelled at least 30 business days before the "next due" date. Please refer to the service cancellation articles for assistance in cancelling any service or subscription that you may have with us. No cancellation fees are applicable to subscription services.
Are refunds available on cancelled services?
It is our policy to provide as much information as possible to customers about services and subscriptions when purchasing or renewing. Such services are established or renewed with the expectation that customers have made an informed decision about their requirements. Because of this, DomainNames.com.au cannot provide refunds on partially used and/or cancelled services, except in exceptional circumstances.
I've made a mistake in subscribing to a DomainNames.com.au service
When a customer initially purchases a service or subscription, a number of teams and support staff are immediately activated in order to provide those services as promptly and efficiently as possible. DomainNames.com.au establishes and maintains these services with the expectation that customers have made an informed decision about their requirements. These activities have a tangible financial cost in terms of both time and resources, particularly where a potential customer may have purchased or renewed their services and then decided against progressing further with their plans for a web presence. It is for these reasons there are no credits and no refunds for cancellations.
Under which conditions will DomainNames.com.au offer a refund?
All goods sold in Australia come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
We make every effort to ensure our customers are fully informed of their rights, however, there may be circumstances where you might they feel warrant further consideration. We're happy to review all requests on a case-by-case basis.
You must submit your request in writing to Refunds@DomainNames.com.au within 5 regular days of your initial payment. Please include as much information as possible about your circumstance and reasons for requesting a refund. Before any refund is offered, the services for which you require a refund must be fully cancelled..
